Editor, Who What Wear

 Clique Brands—parent company to WhoWhatWear.com, Byrdie.com, MyDomaine.com, Obsessee, and College Fashionista—is seeking a full-time Editor to join the fast-paced Who What Wear editorial team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be a master storyteller continually pushing the Who What Wear brand into new content territory while looking for new ways to optimize growth and innovation. 


What You’ll Do 

  • Pitch and write daily content for WhoWhatWear.com, including features, interviews, and core content
  • Develop editorial franchises that build brand equity
  • Keep finger on the pulse of shopping, fashion trends, industry news, entertainment, and content trends
  • Work on editorial photo shoots and other creative projects as needed
  • Bring an innovative and creative approach to our traditionally top-performing story categories, including packaging original features and interviews
  • Track analytics on multiple story KPIs to 1) ensure team, personal, and direct reports’ goals are met and 2) capitalize on emerging traffic opportunities with the aim of experimenting boldly, failing fast, and creatively iterating around frameworks that perform
  • Build a roster of story contributors to add compelling voices to the content mix
  • Manage some freelancers and/or interns, ensuring work is up to standard and reaching KPIs

What You Bring

  • 4-5+ years of experience writing for a print or digital magazine 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong visual sensibilities
  • Sense of urgencyand ability to quickly turn an idea into a final product

  • Collaborative spirit with a positive, can-do attitude 
  • A comprehensive knowledge of fashion, including current trends, news, key figures, and market
  • An exceptional body of work demonstrating ability to package content
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight daily deadlines with a strong sense of accountability
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Basic HTML and CMS knowledge
